Silver Volume A is an additional Volume for Silver.
Note: It is mandatory that Silver be pre-installed on your computer for the additional volumes to be used. Make sure you have installed and authorized the Silver FREE players through the Aquarius Desktop application.
We started by taking advantage of the cultural and historical heritage of our home country, Italy, which is rich in architecturally and acoustically interesting places, and then moved on to other parts of Europe.
The result of this journey led to the creation of Silver Volume A, the first package in a series dedicated to unique and natural-sounding reverbs. It includes a wide range of carefully chosen, acoustically attractive physical spaces. Below are some of the most representative emulations included in Volume A:
Category:
Religious
Located: Moscufo, Pescara (Italy)
Description:
The Romanesque church of Santa Maria del Lago takes its name from the
nearby forest, Lucus. It was most likely built on top of Roman ruins,
and is the only surviving building of a 12th-century Benedictine
abbey, according to an inscription dating back to the year 1159. We
sampled the reverberations of this building, and offer 3 different
emulations (each a different distance from the capture source) as
well as a fourth, “artificial” emulation called LARGEx3, which
was achieved by digitally increasing the length of the reverb
considerably.
Category: Studio and
Scoring
Located: Montesilvano, Pescara (Italy)
Description:
The Sphere is a recording studio and events space in Montesilvano,
Pescara (Italy) on the Adriatic coast. The studio was principally
designed to record acoustic music, but is versatile and welcomes all
genres. It was founded by Odradek Records, a cooperative record label
based in the United States, active in the worlds of classical, jazz
and world musics. Aside from being the home for Odradek projects, the
control room is a stereo, Tom Hidley-inspired, “non-environment”
space. The planning and acoustic design were by none other than John
Anderson.

Misc.
Located: Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, Lodi
(Italy)
Description: Castello Bolognini is located in Lombardy,
in the municipality of Sant’Angelo Lodigiano in the province of
Lodi (Italy). A castle dating back to the 13th century, it was the
dwelling house of important families, including the Visconti, Sforza,
and finally the Bolognini dynasty, who remained the owners through
the first half of the 20th century. We sampled 3 different locations
within this impressive construction (each a different distance from
the capture source), as well as a fourth “artificial” emulation
called LARGEx3, which was achieved by digitally increasing the length
of the reverb considerably.
Category: Public
Spaces
Located: Lodi (Italy)
Description: Main room of a
B&B located in Lodi (Italy).
Category: Studio and
Scoring
Located: Mils (Austria)
Description: Prime Studio
is a recording, mixing and post-production studio located in the
beautiful Austrian Alps. The studio’s exclusive clientele thrive
off its inspiring location, its light and airy spaces, and top-tier
equipment specs. We had the chance to sample the sounds within 10
different rooms of this impressive studio; as a result, Silver Volume
A contains several emulations derived from each of these physical
spaces (each a different distance from the capture source).
For more information and explanations of each emulation, take a look at the Silver Volume A user's manuals.
