This is the first Acqua Plugin product in VST, VST3, AAX, AU format fully dedicated to the needs of bassists, and is one of the most authentic and modern-sounding bass amp plugins on the market today.
Graphite includes:
- Emulation of the GR Bass One head
- Emulation of the AT 212 (2x12") bass carbon fiber cabinet, sampled with four different classic microphones, each one selected and placed by pro audio experts.
Our challenge was to faithfully recreate the sound of the GR Bass One head in combination with the AT 212 cabinet, also produced by GR Bass. The head was designed according to their “pure sound” philosophy, producing a realistic sound with natural transparency. The AT 212 is the lightest 2x12’’ bass cabinet available in the world: it’s part of their revolutionary AeroTech series, and is an example of the incredible technical advances that GR Bass has achieved with its carbon fiber cabinet line.
Now, you can enjoy the
signature sound of the GR Bass in an all-in-one plugin — our first
dedicated solely to the needs of bass players. The Graphite plugin
comes in a standard version and an alternative “ZL” (zero
latency) version, which works like a dream when tracking. It will
cost you extra processing resources, but the resulting reduced
latency is very handy if you need to play in real time
Thanks to its intuitive, single-screen interface, this plugin can adapt to any musical style, delivering ultra-solid bass tones for fingerstyle, pick or slap bass. For fine-tuning and sculpting of your sound, you can use the powerful 4-band equalizer, then add a dose of your D.I. to the output mix signal by using the plugin controls.
Graphite is precise, easy to use, and packs enough power to shake your studio from the ground up.
Transparency is one of the main characteristics of the GR One solid-state head. It includes a 4-band equalizer which allows you to sculpt the sound according to your needs, but that’s not all: in addition to the usual low- and high-shelf controls, two additional mid-band equalizers allow you to choose from three central frequencies each. And to top it all off, both deep and bright filters give you control over any extra punch and/or definition you might need to achieve your custom bass sound.
Compared to similar, wooden cabinets on the market, the AT 212 (2x12'') carbon fiber cabinet has better focus, more sonic detail, richer tone and a more open sound — not to mention its significantly lighter weight. After a painstaking design process, an intense sampling and optimization phase (and thanks to the invaluable input of the GR Bass team themselves) Acustica was able to effectively capture the essence of this one-of-a-kind bass cabinet with all its tonal shades, harnessing it all in one plugin.
