About Fire The Pan

The panner is one of the most straightforward, high-impact effects in the wide range of audio processing tools, capable of acting subtly or drastically when required. Despite its limited number of controls, it has a marked and instantly recognizable effect on the balance of the left and right channels, indirectly modifying not only the spatiality, but also the spectrum of monophonic content; i.e., the main and immediate sound information perceived by the listener.

Thanks to modern advances in pro audio technology, numerous tools are now available that explore the concept of panning, starting with traditional 2D panning and extending the balancing concept to 3D spatialization. This allows the perception of the positioning of the sound source in the surrounding field to be altered to produce increasingly realistic 3D sound effects. This paradigm can be extended to encompass 3D audio panning, or object-based audio, and Ambisonics audio.

After a long and careful design phase, Acustica has sampled and recreated an impressive number of analog and digital (2D and 3D) panner emulations to create one of the most effective and comprehensive panner plugins on the market, which effortlessly gives you more depth and definition in the stereo field.

Fire The Pan brings together 5 different panning categories all in one, to produce a total of over 60 different emulations. The latest addition to the Fire family will transform the way you think about your stereo image — you’ll definitely want it in your tool set after just one test drive!
