Shaped by experience. Refined through technology.
For decades, Luca Pretolesi has helped define the sound of modern electronic music from Studio DMI in Las Vegas.
With more than 20,000 hours spent mixing and mastering, his work has shaped records for artists including Diplo, Major Lazer, Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Snoop Lion, KSHMR and many others.
But Luca’s approach has never been about imposing a sound on the music. It is about finding the final balance, preserving the artist’s intention while adding the weight, clarity and impact that make a record feel complete.
DIAMOND COLOR EQ was created to translate that instinct into a repeatable workflow. In Luca’s words, “The Color EQ fills the gaps between frequencies.”

Filling the gaps between frequencies
DIAMOND COLOR EQ 4 is not built around an endless selection of isolated frequencies. Its four bands reflect the tonal relationships Luca Pretolesi reaches for when a mix needs more weight, body, presence, openness or final cohesion.
Each band uses broad, overlapping curves with a bandwidth of approximately two octaves, allowing adjacent areas of the spectrum to interact naturally. Instead of treating every frequency as a separate problem, COLOR EQ shapes the balance of the source as a whole.
The responses have been refined for smoother transitions and more continuous gain movement, combining the immediacy of Luca’s workflow with the precision and dynamic behavior of Acustica Audio processing.
The result is fast, musical tone shaping designed to bring a production closer to its finished sound, from electronic music and mix buses to stems and individual tracks.
Two Views. One Sound.
DIAMOND COLOR EQ 4 adapts to the way you shape tone.
Standard View preserves the compact, hardware-inspired workflow, keeping every essential control immediately accessible. Extended View adds real-time input-spectrum feedback and displays the complete EQ response created by the active bands and filters.
Two visual approaches, powered by the same audio engine.
