How to rebuild Nebula database

Tip applicable to:
Product(s): Nebula3 FREE, Nebula3, Nebula3 Pro, Nebula3 Server.
OS(s): Windows, OSX.
Plug-in format(s): VST, AU.
Plug-in architecture(s): 32 bits, 64 bits.


1. Check that you don't have two plug-in support installation folders or VST plug-in folder.
2. Move all your .N2P and .N2V files from Programs and Vectors folders to a backup folder, less INIT files. INIT files are you personal key.
3. Go plug-in support installation folder* > Temp folder and delete all .XML files that are inside.
4. Go plug-in support installation folder* > Setups folder and delete ~scanboot.xml file.
5. Run Nebula and go MAST and setup SCAN BOOT parameter in 1 (1 means YES). Click on SAVE.
6. Close Nebula and your audio host.
7. Move back all your .N2P and .N2V files from backup folder to Programs and Vectors folders.
8. Run again Nebula. Nebula browser will rebuild temp and scanboot files.
9. Go MAST and setup LOADER PR in 3. Click on SAVE.
10. Close Nebula and your audio host.

* PC path
VST plug-in folder: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins or Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins (not fixed)
* Mac path
VST plug-in folder: OSX HD/Library/Audio/Plugins/VST/Acustica (fixed)

** PC path
Extra plug-in support installation folder: C:\NebulaTempRepository (not fixed)
** Mac path
Extra plug-in support installation folder: OSX HD/Library/Audio/Presets/AcusticaAudio/Nebula3/ (fixed)

If Nebula still crash or run in a weird mode. Enable LOG mode and send us the complete report to technical support thru a ticket. Acustica Audio crash or bug report: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=369

NOTE: We recommend to run Nebula with factory values before report a crash. Please contact technical support if you need more information about how to revert Nebula to factory settings.

1. Check that you don't have two plug-in support installation folders or VST plug-in folder.
2. Move all your .N2P and .N2V files from Programs and Vectors folders to a backup folder, less INIT files. INIT files are you personal key.
3. Go plug-in support installation folder* > Temp folder and delete all .XML files that are inside.
4. Go plug-in support installation folder* > Setups folder and delete ~scanboot.xml file.

6. Close Nebula and your audio host.
7. Move back ONLY Acustica Audio library, .N2P and .N2V files from backup folder to Programs and Vectors folders.
8. Run again Nebula. Nebula browser will rebuild temp and scanboot files.
